South Africa splits neatly into two professional worlds for our purposes. Johannesburg and Pretoria are the corporate and legal centre — long hours, long commutes, and a working week that leaves very little room for meeting anyone new. Cape Town runs on a different rhythm, with more people who have moved for the lifestyle and expect a social life to come with it. Our membership reflects that: the Western Cape is our strongest region, and Cape Town alone accounts for more members than anywhere else in the country.
Distance behaves differently here too. Cape Town members regularly count Somerset West, Stellenbosch and the coastal towns towards Hermanus as reachable, which widens the pool considerably compared with a strict city search. In Gauteng the sprawl is real, and members tend to search by suburb cluster rather than by city.
